About the Role:

We are responsible for collaborating with international development teams, global maintainers of Open-Source communities, and Linux distribution partners to support the architecture of the Linux kernel. This includes new processor instructions, I/O attachments, and accelerators for AI and cryptographic functions. As a Linux Kernel Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and specifying new enhancements for the Linux kernel
  • Coding, test automation, problem determination, and bug fixing
  • Performance analysis and submitting code to upstream community repositories
  • Solving client problems and interacting with Open-Source communities and distribution partners

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in Open-Source development in areas such as KVM, Linux kernel, QEMU, Libvirt, Virtio, and Vfio
  • 2+ years of experience in low-level/assembler development, preferably on non-x86 architectures
  • 2+ years of experience in operating systems and virtualization/hypervisor development
  • Expert skills in operating systems internals, source code repository systems, scripting languages, and test automation

Preferred Skills:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Contributions to Open-Source projects or Open-Source maintainer status
  • Skills in virtualization and emulation technologies
  • Skills in current I/O technologies
  • High motivation and demonstrated communication skills
