Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of our semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential reliability and quality issues early in the design cycle
  • Develop and implement plans incorporating Design for Reliability (DfR) principles such as reliability plans, testing, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Conduct system and component level reliability assessments including warranty analysis, reliability predictions, and validation testing
  • Lead projects to improve the Reliability culture within the organization by implementing industry standard practices, methodologies, and tools for reliability engineering
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and reliability, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, and quality teams
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for reliability and quality issues, ensuring effective resolution and prevent recurrence by applying sophisticated problem-solving tools
  • Mentor and train engineering team members on quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEAs, and problem-solving methods
  • Support Quality Assurance and ISO processes as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ Years of Demonstrated ability in reliability engineering of sophisticated systems or capital equipment preferably in the semiconductor industry
  • Certifications such as Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Quality Engineer (CQE) are a plus
