About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician III to join our team at Boston Scientific. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for performing support functions, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and performing and documenting machine maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures, as well as author equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
  • Maintain, assess requirements, and order equipment spare parts.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time and improve yields.
  • Maintenance activities for automated PC and PLC controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify, design, and implement process equipment, tooling, and fixture changes to improve reliability of the process.
  • Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
  • Assist in writing validation plans, executing plans and completing validation reports with engineering team.
  • Assist in Value Improvement Projects (VIP) and other projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings.
  • Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization and scrap reduction goals.
  • Work with Process Development to bring new products into production.
  • Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery.
  • Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians.
Requirements
  • AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Experience in PLC ladder logic troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated to seek out opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Communicates well with peers about issues/problems that arise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing background.
  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience.
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience.
