Revenue Cycle Operations Manager, Reproductive Medicine Specialist

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Revenue Cycle Operations Manager to join our team in Reproductive Medicine. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating revenue cycle functions, including financial clearance, charge capture, billing, coding, follow-up, denial management, and customer service. You will work closely with clinic leadership to establish and meet operational work flow, productivity, and results standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with clinic leadership to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Establish and meet operational work flow, productivity, and results standards related to revenue cycle functions.
- Organize, manage, and monitor the performance of the revenue cycle, including financial clearance, charge capture, billing, coding, follow-up, denial management, and customer service.
- Supervise staff and manage employee performance, providing ongoing performance feedback, addressing problems, and hiring, orienting, and training employees.
- Work with manager to formulate plans for professional development and attend educational in-services as appropriate.
- Participate in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments in revenue cycle management.
- Maintain and monitor revenue cycle metrics for Emory Reproductive Center and satellite locations, providing and analyzing data to make recommendations for improved efficiencies.
- Prepare operational reports and analyses reflecting progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Act as a key resource on matters pertaining to revenue cycle for assigned department(s).
- Perform regular review of quality and skill sets of team resources, anticipating growth needs and training staff as appropriate on revenue cycle activities, coding, billing, and reimbursement practices.
- Liaison between external customers/stakeholders and PFS on all revenue cycle-related issues, collaborating with other departments to improve clinic operations and revenue management.
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of healthcare experience or three (3) years of revenue cycle experience with coding certification and two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Professional certification as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CHDA is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to manage resources across an organization to maximize organizational impact in multiple clinical specialties.
- Experience with ambulatory care environments and ability to translate and embed standard operating procedures and processes into the clinical environment.
