Job Summary:

Team Recovery Ohio LLC is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, you will provide milieu management and support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders or mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one peer support and counseling to individuals in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized recovery plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, legal system, and community.
  • Facilitate access to community resources, such as housing, employment, education, and healthcare services.
  • Organize and facilitate peer-led support groups and workshops to foster a sense of community and belonging.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License and insurance with clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Familiarity with community resources, support services, and evidence-based practices related to recovery.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment is preferred, or lived experience with substance use disorders or mental health challenges and stable personal recovery.
