Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement functions and product distribution through the development and solicitation of contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
  • Manage contracts and negotiate with suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
  • Provide training and guidance to agencies and vendors on procurement procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with procurement laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or contract management
  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP)
  • Knowledge of replenishment forecasting and e-procurement
  • Certification as a VCO, VCCO, CPPO, CPPB, CPSM, or C.P.M.
