Position Overview: As a Senior Advanced Practice Provider, you will oversee the management of both acute and chronic care patients by delivering preventive and primary care services. This role will be conducted in a dedicated clinic setting, utilizing telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and mobile health units to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate rural healthcare professionals and contribute to clinical research initiatives.
  • Provide direct patient care through comprehensive history taking and physical examinations.
  • Evaluate and treat patients based on diagnostic test results and clinical guidelines.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures as per established privileges and collaborate with supervising physicians.
  • Document and bill for all services rendered accurately.
  • Engage in quality improvement activities and clinical research to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Support accreditation and compliance efforts within the organization.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education activities.
  • Supervise and mentor students from various health professions.

Work Schedule: This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Patient Demographics: The focus will be on outpatient care, primarily serving adult patients, with the capacity to provide limited pediatric care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with a Master's degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Licensure: Current APRN licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and any necessary DEA and DHEC licenses.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in Nursing Practice and advanced training in diabetes management.

Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to perform job functions while standing, walking, and sitting, as well as the capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Candidates must also meet specific vision and physical qualifications.
