Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Optical Systems Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing Free Space Optic communications solutions for government and military customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Free Space Optic communications systems, including link budget analysis and system requirements
  • Perform system modeling using commercial software tools, such as MATLAB, Ansys, STK
  • Lead FSO system development and production, including managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Participate in proposal efforts and ongoing business development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex engineering projects
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience designing, analyzing, and prototyping FSO communication systems
  • 5+ years' experience performing system modeling using commercial software tools
  • 3+ years' experience leading FSO system development and production
  • Proven experience with Agile development framework and practices
  • Ability to lead proposal efforts and participate in ongoing business development
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline
  • US government position; US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasible
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree in a related technical discipline
  • Military Satellite Communications architecture experience
  • Experience with Government systems and service acquisition
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
