Key Responsibilities
- Benefits Assessment: Evaluating coverage options, facilitating prior authorizations, and effectively communicating coverage details to patients.
- Care Coordination: Managing the procurement, billing, and administration of specialty products within company pharmacies and mail order services.
- Patient Support (Specialty): Monitoring patients using specialty products, providing refill reminders, conducting therapy questionnaires, and coordinating timely ordering and collection.
- Patient Support (Pharmacy Care): Engaging with patients to ensure their immunization requirements are fulfilled.
- Central Processing: Documenting and billing for Medication Therapy Management services.
- Travel Health Coordination: Organizing care for patients traveling abroad for immunizations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician credential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a pharmacy technician role.
- Proficient in obtaining prior authorizations from third-party payers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service abilities and proficient computer skills.
Work Environment
