About the Role

MRG Exams is seeking a skilled Clinical Disability Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our assessment team, you will be responsible for conducting in-person medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a secure web portal and perform a focused physical exam on each Veteran. Your primary objective will be to gather accurate and comprehensive information to support the assessment process.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings, and strong time management skills to meet requirements. A current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person medical assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day
  • Review electronic medical records through a secure web portal
  • Perform focused physical exams on each Veteran
  • Educate patients about the assessment process and their rights
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
  • Meet credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
