We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist to join our team at MTC. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective trainee employee assistance program (TEAP) to promote awareness, prevention, and support for substance use and abuse issues.
Key Responsibilities- Develop procedures to coordinate and integrate TEAP components with other center programs, policies, and zero-tolerance initiatives.
- Work with new students to provide testing, assessments, and development of assistance plans during the 45-day probation period.
- Provide assessment and assistance/intervention plans for students who test positive for drugs or alcohol.
- Collaborate with counseling, health/wellness, and human resources departments to refer students and staff with TEAP-related issues.
- Conduct TEAP classes, group education, and prevention sessions for students and staff.
- Unrestricted, active substance abuse certification or license per state requirement.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
