Job Description:

The Technology Operations Lead will be a leader and integral part of the Technology team at GAC. The successful candidate will oversee and assist/lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Key responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing IT security measures to protect the organization's data and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management best practices, as well as excellent leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee and assist/lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
* Implement and manage IT security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
* Review and approve project plans, manage priorities, resources, and monitor progress.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in IT operations management.
* Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management best practices.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Qualified experience supporting technology in an educational environment.
* Preferred certifications include ITIL Foundation or higher and/or CompTIA Network+ or Security+

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods at a desk, sometimes while working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
* Must be able to read written or electronic documents using English with or without correction.
* Must be able to communicate information and ideas using English so others will understand.
* Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
* Must be able to traverse between office buildings/facilities on campus.
