Job Summary

OSCO Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by performing electrical maintenance tasks, troubleshooting electrical issues, and implementing preventative maintenance measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, and electrical control systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and repair or replace defective components as needed.
  • Install new electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to address mechanical and electrical issues that may arise.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Assist with developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing repairs.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow documented process instructions working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Drivers License.
  • Ready to Work.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
  • Safety focus (Personal protective equipment [PPE] required in manufacturing facilities).
  • Prior experience operating fork-truck lifts is a plus.
  • A strong desire to learn on the job is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
