Position Overview:
This role is part of the Army National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Bargaining Unit Technician program, focusing on the maintenance and management of the UH-72A aircraft.

Location:
Army Aviation Support Facility

Appointment Type:

Key Responsibilities:

As a WG Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will:

  • Oversee and execute comprehensive maintenance tasks within the CAMP and FAA frameworks, ensuring proper servicing, inspections, and documentation for the UH-72A military aircraft.
  • Request additional maintenance services when necessary, ensuring all work adheres to established guidelines.
  • Maintain aircraft in compliance with FAA and manufacturer standards, conducting inspections according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance publications.
  • Plan and deliver proficiency training to a diverse workforce, including Full Time Support (FTS) and unit personnel.
  • Adhere to safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations, with potential participation in operational flights as a crewmember.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Military Qualifications:
  • Military Grades: E3-E7
  • Compatible Military Assignments: 15T
  • Applicants are not required to be assigned to the position or possess the MOS to apply.

Selected candidates must be assigned to a compatible Military position and obtain the MOS within one year of appointment. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.


General Experience:

Candidates should possess experience or training that demonstrates the ability to remove and replace aircraft components, as well as make adjustments according to established specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment is essential.


Specialized Experience:

A minimum of 36 months of experience or training in installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing various mechanical and pneudraulic systems on aircraft is required. Experience in coordinating the work of other mechanics and scheduling maintenance is crucial.

Ability to instruct lower-graded mechanics and military personnel in the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft components is necessary.


Education:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. Substitution of education for specialized experience is not applicable.
