We are seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Portland. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees.

About the Role

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Patrolling all areas of the property to prevent and detect crime;">
  • Assisting guests with room access and responding to emergency situations;">
  • Monitoring closed circuit televisions, alarm systems, and fire life safety systems;">
  • Conducting daily physical hazard inspections and reporting any safety hazards to management;">
  • Responding to accidents, contacting EMS or administering first aid/CPR as required;">
  • Completing incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents;">

About You

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent;">
  • No related work experience is necessary, but previous supervisory experience would be beneficial;">
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance;">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;">
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team;">
  • Familiarity with security procedures and protocols;">
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software;">
