Amedisys is dedicated to delivering high-quality home health, hospice, and specialized care, assisting patients and families in navigating the complexities of the healthcare system. Key Responsibilities
- Recommend staffing decisions to the director of operations, including hiring, firing, promotions, and status changes.
- Ensure the overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nursing staff and aides.
- Organize clinical operations within the care center.
- Evaluate service requests and determine patient eligibility for home care services, collaborating with intake for patient referrals and admissions.
- Oversee scheduling and manage payor verification and precertification requirements.
- Review documentation from staff and address any issues related to missing or incomplete records.
- Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, prioritizing needs, and developing the Plan of Care (POC).
- Regularly assess patient needs and make necessary adjustments to the care plan in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Provide direct patient care on rare occasions during emergencies.
- Participate in the on-call process.
- Support staff training to ensure quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
- Engage in the investigation and resolution of patient, family, or physician concerns.
- Minimum of one year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice settings.
- At least one year of RN management experience.
- Current RN license valid in the state(s) of employment.
- Current CPR certification.
