Maintenance Engineer Salary :
$95,000.- $110, Bonus

Position Overview:
International Staff Consulting is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer responsible for ensuring the reliability and sustainability of both new and existing machinery. This role involves leading initiatives for process and product enhancements while serving as a technical resource for the operations team. The Maintenance Engineer will support manufacturing and maintenance through structured processes and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Analyze equipment failure data to identify trends and patterns, applying engineering principles to develop and implement effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence, including the development and revision of preventive maintenance schedules.

2. Create preventive maintenance strategies and maintain spare parts inventories.

3. Conduct root cause analyses to uncover the underlying issues affecting equipment performance, aiming to maximize uptime and throughput.

4. Develop and implement new maintenance protocols and standard operating procedures for repairs.

5. Design and establish new monitoring and testing procedures for equipment.

6. Research and introduce innovative technologies and processes to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

7. Collaborate with various departments to ensure that reliability considerations are integrated throughout the organization.

8. Manage a range of capital and non-capital projects, utilizing project management fundamentals such as scope definition, specification, design review, budgeting, and scheduling, while adhering to change management protocols.

9. Communicate project expectations clearly and timely to team members, delegating tasks as necessary.

10. Oversee contractor activities and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

11. Improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency through data analysis and experimental evaluations.

12. Implement strategies to enhance profitability by maximizing efficiency, minimizing waste, and optimizing resource usage, applying Lean Manufacturing principles.

13. Coordinate and standardize manufacturing process improvements and tooling.

14. Conduct work measurement studies, including time studies and process capability assessments, to meet predetermined goals prior to project handoff to manufacturing.

15. Actively participate in continuous improvement teams, potentially serving as a facilitator.

16. Ensure safety is prioritized in all departmental activities, maintaining safe working conditions in the manufacturing environment.

17. Research, justify, design, and implement new processes, tools, and equipment.

18. Engage in procurement activities, including bid solicitation, evaluation, and purchase recommendations.

19. Design countermeasures and conduct engineering trials to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.



Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
3. Proven experience in leading diverse projects, including major equipment outages and the installation of new equipment and processes, while directing both internal and external resources.
4. Proficient in facilitating and completing root cause analyses (8-D, 5 Whys) and implementing effective countermeasures.
5. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access). Attention to detail and strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
