Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and sustainability of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends, and develop countermeasures to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Develop and implement new maintenance procedures and standard work for repair.
  • Design and implement new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Manage capital and non-capital projects as the Project Manager or Project Lead.
  • Improve equipment reliability and operation through analysis of data and experimental evaluation.
  • Implement plans to improve profitability by maximizing efficiency using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Manage the coordination, implementation and standardization of manufacturing process improvement and tooling.
  • Perform work measurement studies, including time studies, process capability studies and uptime studies.
  • Be directly involved with continuous improvement teams.
  • Incorporate safety into all aspects of the department and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Research, justify, design and implement new processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Procurement activities including obtaining bids, evaluating bids, and making purchase recommendations.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree, engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in leading various types of projects, including major equipment outages and installation of new equipment and processes.
  • Able to facilitate and complete root cause analysis and implement countermeasures to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
