Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales and Catering Coordinator to join our team at Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating sales efforts, managing event documentation, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate event documentation, including contracts and proposals.
- Work closely with sales staff to identify revenue opportunities and provide solutions to maximize sales.
- Act as a liaison between field salesperson and customer, ensuring seamless communication throughout the event process.
- Proactively identify operational challenges and work with hotel staff and customers to resolve issues.
- Manage banquet and meeting space for assigned groups, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Advise sales staff on accommodation options, including phone requirements and available space.
- Access and input data into computer systems to generate account history reports.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Ability to communicate well with guests and colleagues.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
