We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Victrex Manufacturing Limited. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery and support of individual investments across the facility, requiring project engineering expertise at a professional level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects up to £1m in value to ensure cost, programme, quality, and safety meet required targets.
  • Organize design reviews and monitor construction standards to ensure the quality of design and build is acceptable to Victrex.
  • Manage the interface between contractors and Victrex to resolve technical and procedural issues, method statements, and access to existing plant.
  • Monitor the progress of contractors against programme and agree any corrective action; review contractors' cost reporting against control estimates to identify and address significant deviations.
  • Audit and review contractors' organization, systems, procedures, and performance to ensure projects are executed safely.
Requirements:
  • Proven record of delivering projects within agreed timescales and budgets in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Recent fine chemical and utility plant site experience and experience of chemical sites and hazardous areas classification.
  • Understanding of engineering disciplines and familiarity with design reviews, equipment purchasing, and safe systems of work.
  • Experience of working for or with EPCM contractors.
  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to analyze engineering documentation and spot elements not in Victrex's interest.
