Job Summary

An Assembly Operations Specialist is a physically demanding position that requires repetitive lifting of smaller products, assisted lifting of heavier products, standing for extended periods, walking within the cell, maneuvering for bending, twisting, and lifting arms overhead. The successful candidate will assemble components of valves and hydrants, using pneumatic equipment to assemble finished goods and coinciding trim/accessory parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Places parts in specified relationships to each other.
  • Performs quality checks on product and parts.
  • Maintains production equipment and machinery.
  • Uses/operates pneumatic equipment, basic hand tools, and/or direct physical labor in the assembly processes.
  • Bolts or otherwise fastens parts together.
  • Operates machinery and heavy equipment, such as forklifts.
  • Operates equipment to perform fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Works online where tasks vary as different models of the same article are scheduled for production.
  • Packages finished product and prepares for shipment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and conduct basic arithmetic.
  • Previous six (6) months to one (1) year of heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience using impact gear and/or other pneumatic tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to tolerate standing, walking, dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Standing for extended periods of time, walking throughout the facility, ability to lift 50lbs as required.
  • Physical job analysis can be provided.
