Overview:
The Senior Investment Analyst plays a pivotal role in formulating and implementing investment strategies for clients at First Foundation Advisors. This position encompasses responsibilities such as security selection, idea generation, research, financial analysis/modeling valuation, and portfolio construction.

As a member of the Investment Committee, the primary focus will be on the Strategic Core Equity Strategy, with additional responsibilities in Fixed Income, Disciplined Growth, and Dividend Income.


Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position in California is between $116,000 and $145,000, reflecting the Company's good faith minimum and maximum range at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered may differ from this range based on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory programs and complete all required training by established deadlines.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations applicable to the role.
  • Oversee and manage the firm's Disciplined Growth Equity Strategy while co-managing the Strategic Core Equity Strategy.
  • Educate and inform relationship managers regarding portfolio strategies, investment processes, and individual equities.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Committee on investment suggestions, opinions, and actions, including overall asset allocations and specific investment recommendations.
  • Assist in shaping the firm's economic and market outlook as well as overarching investment strategy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role may include direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree is required.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in the financial industry is essential.

  • Strong equity research capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Solid problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Advanced Excel.
  • Ability to deliver impactful presentations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with exceptional client service abilities.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
