Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Spurwink Services. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide psychological testing and consultation services to children in the foster care system.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves conducting psychological evaluations of children in the foster care system, consulting with child protective services, the courts, attorneys, mental health treatment providers, and other community professionals. You will also be required to provide expert witness testimony as needed and comply with job-related paperwork requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychological evaluations of children in the foster care system to identify their needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Consult with various stakeholders, including child protective services, the courts, attorneys, and mental health treatment providers, to ensure comprehensive care for children in the foster care system.
  • Provide expert witness testimony as needed in court proceedings related to child maltreatment cases.
  • Maintain knowledge of current child maltreatment evaluation practices and stay up-to-date with relevant research and best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a doctoral degree in psychology, be licensed to practice in Maine, and have experience administering psychometric testing to children. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
