Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Cost Analyst to join our technical bid team. This role is integral to the Analytics & Design Team (A&D) within our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) department, which plays a vital role in supporting our Business Development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive EPC cost estimates for renewable energy initiatives, particularly in solar PV and energy storage.
  • Engage with suppliers and contractors to ensure up-to-date references and maintain accurate databases.
  • Enhance the estimating process by implementing best practices and refining templates.
  • Examine bid documents, including architectural, electrical, and civil engineering plans.
  • Conduct research on building codes and zoning regulations.
  • Understand the requirements for permitting and utility interconnections.
  • Create detailed scopes of work, including assumptions and limitations.
  • Analyze historical budget data to inform future cost projections.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Business Development, Procurement, Construction, and Operations & Maintenance to ensure bid accuracy and component pricing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the commercial electrical or construction sectors.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • Proven ability to devise detailed solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing processes.
  • Prior experience in solar, utility, electrical, or construction project management, or cost estimation.
  • Proficient in interpreting plans, specifications, and contracts.
