Job Title: Valet

The Aspenwood Company, a leader in the senior living industry, is seeking a skilled Valet to join our team at our Village of Southampton location, an upscale Independent and Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and courteous Valet to provide safe and efficient parking services to our residents and guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work with seniors and be able to handle behaviors associated with dementia and other aging processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Parking and retrieving of resident and guest vehicles
  • Managing traffic flow in the driveway for safety and optimal use of the area
  • Assisting residents/guests into and out of vehicles in a safe manner
  • Ensuring vehicle keys are properly labeled, tracked, and returned to the vehicle owner
  • Assisting residents/guests with belongings
  • Assisting residents with mobility devices as applicable
  • Observing all traffic laws and practicing safe driving techniques at all times
  • Reporting accidents or damage to any vehicle to the Executive Director or Manager on Duty
  • Assisting the concierge with resident deliveries
  • Maintaining a safe driving record that meets Company guidelines and insurance carrier requirements
  • Reporting potentially unsafe conditions to the Executive Director
  • Building and maintaining healthy relationships while interfacing confidently with people of diverse levels and backgrounds
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per Company policies
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Required current Driver's License and driving record that meets our insurance standards
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and rain
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be professional and have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to solve problems, display good judgment, and attention to detail
