Job Summary

The University of California seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Congenital Heart Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and educate patients and families on congenital heart conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Standardized Procedures to ensure optimal patient care
  • Provide and coordinate care for congenital heart patients
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds
  • Make referrals and document services rendered

Requirements

  • CA RN and CA NP License
  • MSN/DNP with Pediatric Acute Care NP or FNP Specialty
  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • National Certification in NP Specialty
  • A minimum of 2 years pediatric cardiac experience
  • Previous NP experience
  • State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES
  • Ability to utilize excel, word, and other software programs
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence
  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience as NP
