Job Title: Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant

LHC Group is seeking a skilled Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Holts Summit, Missouri.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality care to our patients in their homes. As a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans that improve our patients' mobility, strength, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being.
  • You will instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the physical therapy assistant and according to state laws governing physical therapy assistants.
  • You will observe, record, and report to the supervising PT, the nurse supervisor, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
  • You will instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the healthcare team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
  • You will visit patients within the entire service area of their respective agency and other nearby LHC agencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
