SIRS, Inc. is a reputable organization dedicated to providing Medicaid transportation services in Perry County. We are currently seeking a qualified Medicaid Transportation Specialist to join our team.

Job Overview

The Medicaid Transportation Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of individuals with disabilities in our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a motor vehicle in accordance with all relevant regulations and company policies, focusing on passenger safety.
  • Provide assistance to passengers, including those with mobility devices, during boarding and disembarking.
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork, including attendance, mileage, gas purchases, and maintenance records.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks to guarantee the vehicle's proper functioning before each route.
  • Inventories vehicle equipment and supplies, reporting restocking needs to maintain a safe and operational vehicle.
  • Fuels the vehicle and secures it after each use.
  • Cleans the interior of the vehicle regularly to ensure a clean environment for passengers.

Requirements:

  • Random drug/alcohol testing as required by the DOT Drug Testing Program.
  • Immediate reporting of mechanical difficulties or transportation delays to the Transportation Director.
  • Communication with the Transportation Director regarding client behaviors impacting safety.
  • Attendance at required SIRS trainings as directed by the Transportation Director.
  • Good driving record meeting or exceeding system eligibility standards.

Salary and Perks:

We offer an estimated $45,000 annual salary, Paid Time Off and Holidays, FMLA Benefit, and opportunities for professional growth.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 18 hours between 6am-6pm, providing flexibility and stability in your schedule.
