Quality Assurance Specialist

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. The ideal candidate will inspect materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, record observations, and make recommendations for improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
Actively engage in the SWO process and participate in safety meetings and safety tours.
Ensure production of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Perform incoming inspection and release of incoming raw materials.
Monitor in-process part quality for conformance to standards and perform and record in-process testing.
Requirements:
Solid computer experience, including Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Access, and Excel, and other critical computer applications.
Prior quality experience in manufacturing is highly desirable.
Ability to work in a high-paced and multi-task environment.
Demonstrated organizational skills and detail orientation.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours.
Lifting up to 50 lbs. to a height of 3 feet.
Pushing blank carts weighing up to 1,500 lbs. (2-person job).
Visual acuity and depth perception.
Working in various temperatures and humidity levels.
