Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to support our operations in our newly-constructed production facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing hands-on process engineering support on the production floor, estimating costs, and developing, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes required in the manufacture of all products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on process engineering support on the production floor a minimum of 50% of the time.
  • Estimate costs and develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes required in the manufacture of all products.
  • Assist in the tryout and development of associated new tooling projects and develop sustainable, repeatable processes that produce at maximum rates with minimum scrap.
  • Use engineering principles to provide production operations support with hands-on troubleshooting and development.
  • Lead process optimization for the facility and act as a technical resource for machine capabilities and product limitations on new parts.
  • Improve process control and product quality, maximize operational effectiveness, and review tooling, machine, and product drawings with the use of 3D CAD software.
  • Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues for production and product launches, and assist Quality Assurance in qualifying gauges and other measuring devices to be used in or on production processes.
  • Customer contact for process-related concerns as needed, with some travel required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with metal-forming processes such as roll forming, progressive stamping, tool tube bending, CNC machining, and/or laser cutting.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office with strong Excel spreadsheet knowledge, CAD, and the ability to learn new software, including internal manufacturing software.
  • Lean manufacturing experience and US Person as defined by ITAR & EAR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
  • Experience with welding and/or robotic welding.
