Work Schedule: Full-Time Days

Shift: Monday through Friday

Your Role:

The office nurse is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for delivering patient care and fulfilling assigned tasks under the guidance of the physician and/or nurse manager, adhering to established standards and protocols aligned with AdventHealth's objectives.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Accompany patients from the waiting area to the examination room, documenting a brief medical history and recording vital signs using standard techniques.
  • Execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by the physician.
  • Administer immunizations and therapeutic injections, as well as medications, under the physician's supervision.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling for procedures, diagnostic tests, or specialist consultations as instructed by the physician.
  • Conduct venipuncture and perform laboratory work as ordered during patient visits, preparing specimens for external lab testing.
  • Communicate laboratory and imaging results to patients via phone or mail as directed by the physician, maintaining a log of tests ordered and received.
  • Follow up with patients or their families to monitor their condition through phone calls.
  • Process prescription requests to pharmacies as directed by the physician, either by phone or fax.

Qualifications for Success:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN nursing program.
  • Current licensure or registration as an LPN in the State of Florida.
  • BLS/CPR certification is mandatory.
