Data Engineering Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineering Intern to join our team at Guardian Life. As a Data Engineering Intern, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and validating data pipelines to support business intelligence and machine learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable, high-performing data pipeline solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust tools, frameworks, and libraries that standardize and streamline the data and machine learning lifecycle.
- Assist in developing and maintaining effective documentation for projects and practices, ensuring transparency and effective team communication.
- Work with cross-functional teams to build scalable and reproducible machine learning pipelines for training and inference.
- Pursuing a master's degree with 6+ months of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience in working with Python, SQL, PySpark, and bash scripts.
- Experience in developing and maintaining robust data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience working with Cloud Data Warehousing platforms and experience in working with distributed frameworks like Spark.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
