Job Overview:
As a Hotel Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming and memorable experience. Your role is crucial in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet all guests and provide exceptional service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Follow house rules, departmental policies, and safety protocols diligently.
- Maintain clear communication with guests and management.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly, directing them to the appropriate department or manager when necessary.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly and professionally.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to effectively manage guest inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and balance all transactions at the end of your shift.
- Manage the Front Desk system for reservations and check-ins.
- Efficiently operate the room key card machine.
- Check guests into the system, establish credit, and provide accurate information.
- Distribute room keys and staff keys appropriately.
- Update guest room status, including changes, early departures, and stay-overs.
- Complete and reconcile the Shift Audit at the end of each day.
- Facilitate guest check-outs by reviewing charges, collecting payments, and closing out room folios.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in keyboarding and general computer operations.
- Prior experience with credit card processing and cash handling is preferred.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and reach above shoulder level.
- Competent in answering and transferring phone calls.
- Familiarity with hotel amenities and services.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain professionalism and composure in all situations.
- Knowledgeable about hotel and waterpark services and their operational hours.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the resort.
