About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CV Recovery Nurse to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a CV Recovery Nurse, you will provide pre and post-nursing care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cath Lab.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pre and post-procedure care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Assist patients through all aspects of the pre and post-procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure(s), patient monitoring, hemostasis management following removal of catheter or sheath, return to inpatient room, or same day discharge.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records.
Requirements
  • Current nursing license in good standing.
  • Associate's Degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferred.
  • PACU/CV Recovery experience required, ICU experience preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS).
