Delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, experienced CV Recovery Nurses are sought after to join the team at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and highly skilled individual to provide pre and post-procedure care for patients undergoing procedures in the Cath Lab. A compassionate CV Recovery Nurse in Anchorage, Alaska, will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place as part of the prepping and recovery of patients undergoing procedures in the Cath Lab. This includes but is not limited to: cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre and post-procedure care for patients undergoing procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Assist the patient through all aspects of the pre and post procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure(s), patient monitoring, hemostasis management following removal of catheter or sheath, return to inpatient room, or same day discharge.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records.

Requirements:

  • Current nursing license in good standing
  • Associate's Degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferred
  • PACU/CV Recovery experience required, ICU experience preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS)

Alaska Regional Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
