Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

ReqRoute Inc is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support for desktop environments, including deployment of end-user devices and assisting other technicians in higher complexity tasks and IT projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills across multiple technologies and be able to analyze, resolve, respond to, and document end-user inquiries. They will also be responsible for installing desktop/Laptop software using approved tools, troubleshooting operating system and connection issues with LAN/WAN, and updating tickets with accurate and timely records of work performed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Level 2 technical assistance and support, and resolve HW/SW problems related to end-user devices
  • Analyze, resolve, respond to, and document end-user inquiries
  • Install desktop/Laptop software using approved tools
  • Troubleshoot operating system and connection issues with LAN/WAN
  • Update tickets with accurate and timely records of work performed
  • Maintain and contribute to a knowledge base
  • Coordinate hardware warranty repair
  • Escalate to 3rd party vendors when necessary
  • Responsible for raising and coordinating problem management issues
  • Perform additional tasks (end-user/infra related) when required
  • Participate in projects
  • Strong understanding and skills in SLA, KPI Management
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Desktop Support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple technologies
  • Ability to analyze, resolve, respond to, and document end-user inquiries
  • Ability to install desktop/Laptop software using approved tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot operating system and connection issues with LAN/WAN
  • Ability to update tickets with accurate and timely records of work performed

  • Ability to escalate to 3rd party vendors when necessary
  • Ability to raise and coordinate problem management issues
  • Ability to perform additional tasks (end-user/infra related) when required
  • Ability to participate in projects
  • Strong understanding and skills in SLA, KPI Management
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to walk long distances frequently throughout the day, often while carrying items up to 50lbs. They may also be required to work variable or flexible shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and occasional on-call rotations covering after-hour shifts.
