Job Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a key member of the Cattleshed team, responsible for assisting the management team in the direction and supervision of employees and restaurant operations. This role requires a strong leader who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Assist in the supervision of restaurant operations, ensuring that all areas meet Cattleshed's high standards of quality and safety.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and labor costs.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant efficiency and profitability.
  • Employee Supervision
    • Provide guidance and support to hourly employees, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees.
    • Develop and implement employee recognition and reward programs to motivate and retain top talent.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of customer feedback and complaints.
  • Inventory Management
    • Assist in the management of inventory, ensuring that all stock is accurately counted and recorded.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve inventory turnover.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and costs.
  • Financial Management
    • Assist in the management of restaurant finances, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance, including cost control and revenue growth.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial performance, including sales, labor costs, and inventory levels.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Assist in the development and implementation of leadership and development programs for employees.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull heavy objects.
    • Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.
