Key Responsibilities:

Upholding the core values of Crunch Fitness: T.R.A.I.N. - Timely, Ready, Attentive, Inspiring, Noble. Assisting members and clients in achieving their fitness aspirations through comprehensive education on fitness programs, including strength training, cardiovascular exercises, and nutritional advice. Meeting or surpassing monthly performance benchmarks, contributing to Personal Training revenue, and promoting nutritional products. Exclusively training for Crunch Fitness, adhering to company policies regarding conflicts of interest in personal training.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Personal Training Manager or General Manager, depending on the club's organizational structure. This role does not include direct reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Personal Trainer is tasked with the following activities:

Client Training [70% of time] Deliver a remarkable initial personal training experience for new clients. Develop and implement tailored fitness programs aligned with clients' objectives, incorporating exercise selection and nutritional guidance. Keep clients informed about available fitness resources to support their goals. Establish expectations and maintain accountability through goal-setting and progress tracking. Demonstrate safe and effective exercise techniques. Member Support [20% of time] Educate members on the proper use of gym equipment and exercise methods. Assist in member service initiatives as requested by management (e.g., fitness workshops, boot camps, nutritional product demonstrations). Familiarize with the CAMP CRUNCH Orientation and provide a positive experience for members and guests. Help maintain a clean and organized gym environment. Additional Responsibilities [10% of time] Create comprehensive fitness programs using company resources. Schedule personal training sessions and manage administrative tasks through company systems. Execute the Trainer Business Plan and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Education Level:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Current CPR certification. Certifications: (One or more of the following certifications)
ACSM Certified Personal Trainer or Health Fitness Specialist. ACE Personal Trainer Certification. The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer Certification. IFPA Personal Trainer Certification. NASM Certified Personal Trainer or Corrective Exercise Specialist. NESTA Personal Fitness Trainer Certification. NFPT Personal Trainer Certification. NSCA Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Experience:

Previous personal training experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Physical activities include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking. Work Environment:

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Extended work hours, including weekends and holidays, may be necessary to support business operations.
