Job Title: Respiratory Therapy Student Assistant

Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapy Student Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our respiratory therapy department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform therapy as prescribed and in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of routine therapy equipment, oximeters, regulators, flowmeters, analyzers, ETCO2 monitors, medical gases, and inhaled pharmacological agents.
• Assess patient data and interpret information to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs.
• Provide care and services appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned units.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and currently enrolled in a recognized respiratory therapy program at either the junior or senior level.
• Less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Respiratory Care Educational Permit issued by the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care.

Work Environment:
