Job Summary

At Hexagon US Federal, we are seeking a skilled GIS Automation Specialist to join our Cartographic Web Services (CWS) Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining automated mapping workflows and support files for CWS. This role requires a strong background in GIS software and technology, as well as experience with FME, relational databases, and web services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and implementation of cartographic automation workflows
  • Independently perform cartographic tasks associated with GIS concepts, including imagery analysis, geospatial map production, and the evaluation and use of GIS data
  • Recommend appropriate GIS strategy in response to GIS analysis results
  • Deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Provide end-user support

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, or relevant coursework in geographic information science
  • 8 or more years of applicable experience, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of GIS software and technology
  • Experience with FME, relational databases, and web services
  • US citizenship with an ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance
