Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be accountable for conducting patient assessments, developing care strategies, and executing therapeutic interventions as directed by a licensed medical professional. The Communication Specialist will implement treatment modalities and therapeutic agents as prescribed by a referring physician, aiming to restore functionality and avert disability following injury, illness, or physical impairment. It is essential to ensure that patient billing is precise and submitted promptly. Additionally, the role involves coordinating, delegating, and overseeing tasks assigned to support personnel (such as therapy aides). The candidate will also engage in departmental operations, contributing to quality improvement and performance enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications Needed:
A Master's degree in Communication Disorders is required.
Must possess a valid Georgia license and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
