Job Overview

Navy Federal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team as a Summer Associate. This 12-week internship program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis of business portfolio performance using data manipulation and visualization techniques
  • Support forecast model improvements through the analysis of key business trends
  • Develop financial forecasts and analyze key performance metrics to provide meaningful insight into business trends, risk, and regulatory environments
  • Consolidate business segment performance and financial reporting
  • Provide support to assigned department, may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Develop skills in the creation, execution, and prioritization of system modernization and risk tasks to support the evaluation of the operational performance of existing controls and devise remediation strategies
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments

Qualifications

  • Course work in Finance, Accounting, and Economics, but not required to be concentrated in these fields
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with research, analysis, and data manipulation
  • Strong communication and presentation-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
