McGard LLC is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician (PLC) to join our Maintenance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our commitment to the best equipment and our ever-growing automation commitment to keep us at the forefront of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test operations of equipment and controls
  • Modify and troubleshoot PLC controls, HMI systems, and databases as required
  • Modify as needed electrical and electronic drawings
  • Assist in developing operational and maintenance manuals as required
  • Assist in resolving problems, delays, and difficulties. Notify supervisor of problems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, recommend method of repair
  • Use a computer (as necessary) to assist in troubleshooting, monitoring computerized equipment, fill out Maintenance requests and/or look up pertinent information

About the Electrical Technician (PLC) Position:

As a member of our Maintenance Department, you will be part of a supportive team and associated with our Plant and Controls Engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to expand your technical capabilities, develop leadership skills, and be part of an innovative team that values safety and advancement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) year degree preferred
  • Three to five (3-5) years' experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • One to two (1-2) years' experience with interpreting electrical schematics
