Job Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team working on a technical development program supporting cloud-based applications and their associated cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will work with a large team of developers, software engineers, cybersecurity engineers, database administrators, and system architects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance of cloud infrastructure resources, including patching, configuration, and upgrading as needed.
  • Ensure designs are compatible with the architecture and allocated requirements to segments.
  • Identify system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycles from concept to disposal.
  • Integrate systems and services for firewall and network components.
  • Work with the team's security engineer to address and mitigate security findings stemming from system security scans.
Requirements
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience or a Master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be used in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Linux (CLI), scripting and programming languages like BASH and Python, and networking (e.g., ports, routing tables, subnets, VPNs, firewalls, routers, etc.).
  • Experience in working in a cloud-based environment (AWS) and working on teams utilizing Agile workflows and processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with CloudFormation / Puppet / Groovy, or other configuration and automation tools.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Ansible / Terraform, or other configuration and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration and management.
