We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Parking Attendant in the Transportation Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the operational integrity of our parking facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the entrance and exit of vehicles at assigned parking facilities.
  • Accept payments for public parking and parking citations, make change, and provide receipts as requested.
  • Provide directions and information to customers, and respond to complaints and problems.
  • Perform booth opening and closing duties, including cash drawer verification, daily cash reports, and booth cleaning.
  • Inspect assigned parking facilities, reporting any maintenance needs, improper parking, or suspicious activities.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with minor equipment repairs, such as gates, pay stations, and ticket spitters.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public to coordinate work activities and resolve issues.
  • Process various forms, reports, and documentation related to parking operations.
  • Operate a personal computer and cash register to manage parking data.
  • Clean and maintain common areas in assigned facilities, including floors, doorways, and parking areas.
  • Empty waste receptacles, sanitize shared spaces, and replenish supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work experience demonstrating the ability to maintain steady employment in any field.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in performing the essential functions and have the ability to learn, comprehend, and apply all City or departmental policies, practices, and procedures.
