Role Summary:

We are in search of a Phlebotomist for our Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. This position is a full-time evening shift with rotating weekends. In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by utilizing your existing phlebotomy expertise and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate, under the general supervision of the department head, will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, accurately identifying patients, transporting samples, and executing all associated clerical and computer-related tasks.

As a Phlebotomy Technician at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will engage in the essential tasks related to registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory analysis from patients of all demographics. You will also be accountable for using relevant software applications and performing data entry. Additionally, you will act as the primary communication link for the laboratory regarding all incoming requests while ensuring the quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference labs and the reporting of results received.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology and computer systems.
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital phlebotomy setting is advantageous.
