As a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Surgical Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on post-operative care and self-management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and advances in surgical nursing to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • At least one year of experience in inpatient surgery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Certification in area of specialty.
