Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in business development activities, including contract rebid and new business opportunities.
  • Communicate project and company activities and progress to Equus leadership, funder staff, and Board Financial.
  • Manage contract investment to maximize services and ensure fiscal operations are in alignment with local, federal, and state allowances.
  • Forecast spending to ensure funding availability throughout the fiscal year and create and deliver on Equus and funder's budget expectations.
  • Review costs to ensure they are in alignment with local, federal, and state allowances and establish and review cost allocation plans.
  • Manage human resource responsibilities, including hiring, coaching, and disciplining, in coordination with the corporate HR team and Employee Relations Director.
  • Oversee hiring of team members, including consistent onboarding and training, and set SMART goals for team members that align with contract, funder, and Equus goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate the performance and impact of the organization and staff in meeting objectives and ensure compliance to meet or exceed contractual expectations.
  • Ensure proper practices regarding record keeping, control systems, and proper reporting and ensure all requisite training is delivered appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and program requirements and ensure a positive customer experience for all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret funder priorities and develop implementation plans and develop and maintain effective relationships with our customers, including the funding agency and area employers.
  • Administer policies and procedures in accordance with company, funder, and program standards and develop and maintain effective relationships with our customers, including the funding agency and area employers.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, or closely related field of study.
  • Operational leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years professional experience organizing, planning, and developing programs and services at a management level, including supervision of others.
  • Senior level management experience managing multiple departments/functions/teams, with direct responsibility to executive leadership or a board of directors strongly desired.
  • Fiscal/financial management experience, operational oversight, and experience managing grants and/or contracts.
  • Proven ability to manage contractual relationships and at least 2 years of experience providing operational oversight in a workforce development or human services environment desired, but not required.
  • Experience in public speaking and intermediate level MS Office Skills.
  • Proof of valid driver's license and liability insurance may be required.
