Key Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with large processing equipment and chemicals to complete sanitation tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Transport heavy equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other devices.
  • Maintain accurate records and store them as needed.
  • Perform heavy manual labor, including scrubbing, brushing, water rinsing, and using foamers.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines.
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
Working Conditions

The position requires working in a wet refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40°F. Tasks may occasionally be performed in a dry warehouse environment with temperatures reaching up to 85°F or in freezer warehouse conditions at -10°F. The role demands continuous exposure to noisy environments exceeding 85 dBA. Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing up to 50 lbs with continuous motion.
  • Must be able to push/pull 100 lbs with continuous motion.
  • Must be able to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities, including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching overhead with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when needed.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to handle, grasp, and control objects with good gripping strength and manual dexterity.
  • Occasional exposure to moving machinery.
  • Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical exam.
