MRI Field Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair, calibrate, and maintain all customer equipment within a designated area.
  • Perform preventive maintenance calls as required.
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule service calls with customers and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and van stock inventory.
  • Work with MRI systems, DVMs, and various electrical test equipment to troubleshoot and complete work.
  • Collaborate with other FSEs to perform work in other territories or countries as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Complete all reports and paperwork required of the position.
  • Manage costs and expenses within the territory.
  • Handle problem customer situations with professionalism and tact.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent military experience in Electronic Technology.
  • Minimum two years' experience as an FSE1 or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the use of electrical test equipment such as an oscilloscope, DVM, and soldering iron.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:

The work is typically performed in a normal medical office/medical centers/diagnostics environment on and off site with travel. The noise level of the work environment is generally moderate. Hazards include possible injury in working with electrical equipment, hazards associated with driving a motor vehicle, exposure to bodily fluids, blood-borne and airborne diseases. Must follow safety procedures.
